Note from the Festival Organizers
This is the exciting second year for this event and we appreciate your participation and support in launching this long overdue festival in Salida, Colorado, a popular tourist destination in the Rocky Mountains. In case you didn't know, Salida is one of the towns along the Arkansas River that is anticipating the Christo and Jean Claude "Over the River" project. Come and see the lovely area that captured their imagination!
We anticipate an organized, exciting and well attended festival and we will help you however we can to facilitate your exhibit and sales. We are looking forward to personally meeting you!
Sincerely, Danna and Clyde Tullis

JURY INFORMATION
Jurors will view three images plus one booth display along with Artist Statements.Your display image should reveal no names and have no people standing in it.
All participants will be chosen by this jury with the exception of up to approximately 10% of the exhibitors who have been invited by the festival organizers as a show of appreciation for top local fine artists.
BOOTH INFORMATION
All of the booth sites are easily viewed by the attendees and are within the parameters of the park. The park is considered premium and booth spaces will be assigned according to first received applications (dated on arrival) and also with consideration to a well balanced festival site.
The corner booth sites on the streets and in the park are also premium and if you indicate you want one of these, you will be assigned it according to your application arrival date.
SET UP
You will be assigned set up time between the hours of noon and 6pm on Friday. You can bring your vehicle to the park and unload, festival hosts will facilitate. Park booths will be set up first. This will be an easy setup as long as assigned times are followed. There are always exceptions so if you are unable to arrive at the assigned time, every effort will be made to help you set up once you arrive, but you may have to wait if you want to unload from your vehicle.
DISMANTLE
You will be assigned a time between the hours of 4pm and 7pm on Sunday. Park booths will be the last to load so that your vehicles can be brought to the park. Again, festival hosts will facilitate. You may leave earlier than your assigned time, but you will not be able to bring a vehicle to the park and we do require that you not dismantle until 4pm.
EXHIBITOR PARKING
After unloading, vehicles must be parked in exhibitor designated parking. Parking is limited in the Historic District so we ask that you not park on the downtown streets so that festival attendees can have access to them.
WEATHER FACTOR
At approximately 7200 ft. altitude, Salida experiences mountain weather. Located in the "banana belt" our weather is mild and similar to that of Denver. August is usually dry but when it rains it can get windy with gusts. Please prepare your tent and exhibit for this possibility!
FESTIVAL TERRAIN
The booths will be on mostly level ground in the park. Some will require shims which we will have your use. You may want to bring your own if you are in the park. No stakes are allowed in the park to protect the sprinkler system. Street booth sites are on standard street level asphalt.
SECURITY
Security officers will be present during the evening hours (8pm until 8am), Friday and Saturday. You are encouraged to arrive both festival days by 8am to further secure your booth. Salida Riverside Fine Arts Festival and Colorado Event Design and the Festival Directors are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Overnight security will deter interference with your booth and artworks but is not guaranteed to prevent theft or vandalism.
Please report any problems, but without proof of physical property in the booth, festival organizers cannot be held responsible.
SIGNAGE
We require that you have your name, home town and booth number prominently displayed. At check in we will provide that signage and an i.d. that will identify you as an exhibitor.
PETS
Dogs are not allowed in the park. We ask that you not bring pets. We love 'em...but they can be problematic!
