          The Musicians

Clyde Tullis
Salida, Colorado
www.myspace.com/tullis blues

A Colorado native, Clyde has been into music all his life. His  sister got
a guitar for Christmas and he learned to play it. She later bought a
Gibson LGO in '63 and he played that too. Still does. She gave it to
him as a birthday present a couple years ago and now it's his favorite performing instrument.
Clyde played in bands, mostly blues and R & B through high school
and part of college. He has a BFA from University of Colorado and has focused on ceramics and made pots and sculpture as an occupation
for 35 years. He has retired as a potter and music is now his artistic focus.

Red Tischer
 Salida, Colorado

Red plays flamenco like one of the masters.
Music for Red is an artistic expression
of an intensely personal nature.
His voice, given life through his guitar,
transports the listener to the traditional
Gypsy sense of community and life.
One senses the many facets
 of the human condition in
Red's superb performance.

Phil Volan and Joleen Bell
Colorado Springs, Colorado
www.philvolan.com

Phil Volan and Joleen Bell play beautifully
crafted original compositions and covers for
mainly fingerstyle guitar and vocals.
The
duo began in 2003 with a mutual love of
acoustic music and share a rich musical
past.
The Black Rose Newsletter's reviewer
Stew Levitt describes Phil and Joleen's
playing on they're instrumental CD of duets:

"Starting with the opening harmonics of
“Carousel,” each guitar teases, withdraws
and pursues each other like two children
on an afternoon outing. This is acoustic
guitar at its best.
"  In 2002, Phil earned 2nd
place at the prestigious National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in Winfield, Kansas.
Phil and Joleen are widely versatile and perform at concerts, conventions, festivals, churches, restaurants, and the always-loved house concert.

Bruce Hayes
Howard, CO

www.BruceHayes.com

For years, the name Bruce Hayes has been synonomous with the Colorado sound; a fusion of musical styles that combines acoustic and electric instrumentation with elements of Rock, Bluegrass, Celtic, and R&B music.

Collaborating with The String Cheese Incident and Acoustic Junction in the mid-nineties, Hayes helped define the acoustic jam band sound. He continues this tradition performing original songs and arrangements on Mandolin, Guitar, steel, and an amplified foot board of his own design.

Doc Rythym , Denver

Playing Acoustic Rock music from the
'60's and '70's, Doc has played for 35 years
in Colorado and gets everyone
 smiling and dancing
and lovin' the good time!!

Scott Adams
Salida, Colorado
Scott Adams has played solo fingerstyle guitar for
more than 35 years….....and he wishes he had actually been
improving all of that time!  His primary musical interests
include folk, blues, ragtime and contemporary styles.
He has been most heavily
influenced by Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Stephan Grossman
and Pat Kirtley.  Scott also builds steel-string guitars as a
hobby because - as all guitar players know -
one can never have too many in the closet!

Doc Sanders & Kit Fox

Canon City, Colorado
http://www.myspace.com/docsanders

Doc & Kit first sang together at a funeral in Las Vegas.  It was a very sad occasion . . . but they had a good set!

Theirs is a unique vocal blend; mixing tight harmonies and minimalist guitar work (mostly), with an eclectic mix of acoustically rendered multi-genre covers, and originals, which gives their performance a familiar "Old Timey" feel with enough variety to assure that everyone gets fed. Doc & Kit have been performing in and around the Canon City & Salida areas since moving back to Colorado in 2007, and are looking forward to more shows, and making even more new friends.

Doc & Kit have brought their show to people in assisted living homes and other similar venues, bringing the music to people who would otherwise not be able to attend the more conventional shows.

Steve Werges
Denver, Colorado
http://www.myspace.com/stevewerges

Steves smooth guitar play and vocal delivery comes at
you like the spector of Roy Orbison!  His version of
"Pretty Woman" makes every woman stop and listen.
Member of the band Hwy Y out of Denver,
Steve's solo act is masterful. You can hear him in
Denver at Moe's Original BBQ on S. Broadway on
alternating Wednesday evenings where he plays
and hosts a popular Open Mic for COMBO -
Colorado Music Business Organization.

Dave Tipton
Salida, Colorado
http://www.tiptonstick.com
A longtime guitarist and bassist, Dave took a leap and began playing the Chapman Stick in 2001. He hasn't looked back since.  The Chapman Stick is an amazingly versatile instrument, it allows players to tap strings with both hands, simultaneously playing bass lines, chords and melodies.  Dave enjoys composing, arranging, and playing in a variety
of genre, most often jazz and pop standards, melodic originals, and new age tapestries.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio Dave took another leap and moved to Salida, Colorado in 2008. He hasn't looked back since. “This new terrain has been inspiring me to take my
music in new directions.” Come and hear what twelve strings, two hands, and a healthy dose of inspiration can conjure.

Shannon Hemingway
Salida, Colorado

Playing guitar  since he was 6 years old, Shannon rocks
on trombone, piano, drums and bass.

Classical, jazz, bluegrass, rock, and even big band, his music tends to be an eclectic mix of genres with the consistent thread of uppity positive energy and free reign.

Expect the unusual mix of intrumental and
vocal eclectrica...
